Dearest Find Your Voice Music Therapy Family,
We are so grateful to each and every one of you over the course of March 2020! It’s been a music therapy month to remember.
At the beginning of March we hosted our inaugural Music Therapy Month event in Katarokwi/ Kingston, Ontario. This event featured:
- Information about the health, wellness and developmental benefits of music therapy
- Updates about our music therapy initiatives in Katarokwi/ Kingston, Ontario
- Live music featuring FYVMT clients and the FYVMT team (Mackenzie, Hayley, Kim, and Jess)
- Children’s book reading of Mandy’s Mom: The Music Therapist written by our very own Hayley
We are thankful to all the individuals who came out to the event to celebrate music therapy month with the FYVMT team and to support our Gift of Music Therapy program. If you’re interested in learning more about this program and giving back to the Katarokwi/ Kingston, ON or K’jipuktuk/ Halifax, NS communities contact Mackenzie.
In response to COVID-19, March 16th we launched Online Music Therapy services for our clients and community. To provide a continued space for healing, love, light and music, and to support us in staying grounded, connected and well during this time. In extension of this new program we are looking forward to promoting accessibility with rural Turtle Island/ Canadian communities through online music therapy services.
At Find Your Voice Music Therapy we are passionate about using the music and narratives of the people we serve to foster wellness, growth and healing. We are blessed to be invited into the lives of the individuals we work with, and in connection to their loves ones and beautiful community.
Here’s to many more years ahead shining light, love and music into our world!
We’ll be there for you!
