Welcoming Brandon Zuniga to Find Your Voice Music Therapy

Brandon Zuniga. Halifax, Nova Scotia, Music Therapist.

We’re thrilled to welcome Brandon Zuniga (BMus, CMT, MTA, MT-BC) to the Find Your Voice Music Therapy team! Practicing in K’jipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia, and virtually across Turtle Island/Canada, Brandon brings a wealth of skill, experience, and a deep commitment to making music therapy accessible to all. His areas of focus include working with adults and seniors, particularly individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and sensory sensitivities. Brandon also offers adapted guitar lessons, bell choir sessions, and uses music through play, including songwriting and improvisation, to encourage self-expression, cognitive engagement, and joy in his sessions.

What Drives Brandon’s Work in the Halifax Area

When asked about what he loves most in his career, Brandon shared:

“There is nothing in my career that I find more fulfilling than seeing the positive effect that music therapy has not only with clients, but with their families. It is truly a wonderful feeling knowing that music therapy was able to bring meaning and fulfillment to an individual’s life, and that is something very special.”

This passion shines through in his dedication to building meaningful connections and creating experiences that foster both personal growth and family connection through music.

Why Brandon Joined Find Your Voice Music Therapy

With a background as an independent music therapist since 2021, Brandon was excited to join Find Your Voice Music Therapy’s collaborative team. He explained:

“When I learned about Find Your Voice Music Therapy and their team, something immediately resonated with me… After later having the opportunity to learn about some of the experiences the Music Therapists of Find Your Voice shared with one another, I knew this was a team I wanted to work with.”

His Vision for Music Therapy in Nova Scotia

Brandon’s aspirations for his work are both impactful and ambitious. He hopes to advocate for the benefits of music therapy throughout Nova Scotia and to create partnerships with people and organizations that may not yet be familiar with its transformative power.

“I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn about and benefit from music therapy, and every new opportunity to both advocate and facilitate services will continue to bring my dream to reality.”

As Brandon joins us, we are excited to see his vision come to life and witness the ways his work will positively impact our clients and the broader community. Welcome, Brandon—we’re honored to have you on board!
