Who are our services for?

Land Acknowledgement

Find Your Voice Music Therapy was founded on lands of  Katarokwi /Kingston, Ontario and K’jipuktuk/ Halifax, Nova Scotia, Turtle Island/Canada which is the traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq, Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Huron-Wendat peoples and is home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Metis peoples. We are honoured to live, work and enjoy the lands of these first peoples who’s practices and spiritualities are tied to the land and predate the establishment of the earliest European colonies. To this day our communities reflect their rich Indigenous roots, which are also enriched with the presence of Métis and First Peoples from other Nations across Turtle Island.

To our indigenous team members, clients, and partners. We acknowledge your grief and trauma. We are beside you in acknowledgement of the impact of colonization and the need for systematic racism to end.

We encourage our settler team members, clients, and partners to reflect on colonialism’s enduring legacy and engage in reconciliation meaningfully. We encourage everyone to begin, or continue their journey to allyship.
