Adapted Music Lessons

Accessible, Supportive Music Learning—Tailored to You

An adapted music lesson is focused on learning a musical skill or instrument, with physical or cognitive adaptations or extra support as needed. These lessons are different from a music therapy session, where the goal is therapeutic, and they’re also distinct from traditional music lessons, which often focus on music theory or performance excellence. Instead, adapted music lessons are uniquely tailored to the material and approach that best suits the individual learner.

At Find Your Voice Music Therapy, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of music-making. Whether you're just starting out or returning to music with new needs or goals, we meet you where you are—with flexibility, encouragement, and creativity.

What Makes Adapted Lessons Different?

  • The pace, content, and teaching style are adjusted to meet your needs

  • Lessons may include visual, tactile, or auditory learning supports

  • Sessions focus on musical growth, confidence-building, and enjoyment—not perfection

Whether you're learning for fun, personal expression, or long-term skill-building, our adapted lessons are about empowerment through music.
