WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY?

Music therapists use music intentionally and purposefully to achieve therapeutic goals.  Music is used to, promote and maintain physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioural health.  Individuals do not require musical ability but instead it’s a process of making, being affected by, and responding to music to address client-specific goals.

WHY MUSIC THERAPY FOR CHILDREN?

  • Improve verbal, language, and communication skills
